CENTRAL CITY – James “Cigar” Reno, Sr., 89, of Central City, died Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 8:20PM at Corcordia Maple in Greenville. Mr. Reno was born June 22, 1928, in Muhlenberg County. He was a laborer with Council of Carpenters and a member of Central City Masonic Lodge. He was of the Baptist faith, and attended Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Reno. He is survived by his son, James (Shelta) Reno, Jr. of Beaver Dam; daughters Sandra (Bill) Raines of Herndon, VA and Janice (Kenneth) Vincent of Central City; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother Carl (Shirley) Reno of Central City; and sister Dorothy Paxton of Central City. Funeral services will be Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Leroy Rearden officiating, assisted by Rev. Bobby Reno. Burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday after 5:00PM at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Saturday at 7:00PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
