BREMEN – James Darrell “Buddy” Arnold, 79, of Bremen, died Monday, May 1, 2017, at 9:06AM at Transcendent Healthcare. Buddy was born July 11, 1937, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner and spent many years working at the sawmill. Buddy loved to work and enjoyed all his co-workers. He loved fishing, camping, and gardening. He was a member of Church Street General Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher and a trustee. He spent much of his time reading and studying the Bible. He graduated from Drakesboro High School in 1956. He was also a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country. He was preceded in death by his wife whom he loved dearly, Shirley LeGrand Arnold; his parents, Sherman and Hester Arnold; and brothers Charles Arnold and Billy Arnold. He is survived by his son, Jimmy (Angie) Arnold of Morgantown; daughters Jacqueline (Robert) Conners of Oak Lawn, Illinois, Debbie (James Dale) Harris of Bremen, and Becky (Sid) Rose of Bremen; Larry Jr. (Marlene) Tooley of Pikeville; grandchildren Silas, Eliza, and Isaiah Arnold, Jacob Conners, Josh (Heather) Harris, Brittney (Davin) Revelett, Ashlyn (Joe) Eubanks, and Collin, Isaac, and Eli Rose; great-grandchildren Lilli and Gunnar Revelett, Addie and Taylor Harris, and Sydney Jo Eubanks; brothers Paul (Sue Ellen) Arnold and David (Priscilla) Arnold; and sisters Alma Johnson, Ruby Newton, and Lois Arnold. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Danny Greene officiating. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
