Herb Johnson was one of the finest men to ever wear a Kentucky State Police uniform. Herb was one the factors that caused me to spend thirty (30) years with the KSP. He was honest and a dedicated Trooper and treated those he came in contact with in a professional manner. Herb was also a family man and he will be missed by family and anyone who knew him. Rest in peace my good friend. Ron Hunt, KSP Retired

Randy, Kathy, Kay and families, so sorry to hear of Herb's death. He was truly a great gentleman. I remember him as a very good state trooper when I was younger. Later on we became friends as we worked together at Amax Coal Co. and Brown Badgett, Inc. and were members of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, where we worshipped and served together. I have many special moments of Herb and Jean throughout the years.
He was always one to do what was right and I never heard him speak an unkind word about anybody. He will truly be missed.
The entire family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
