DRAKESBORO – Harlan Ray Arnold, 78, of Drakesboro, died Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 7:15PM at his home. Mr. Arnold was born July 13, 1940, in Drakesboro. He was a retired coal miner and member of Union Chapel Church. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harlin and Sybil Arnold; father Eugene Collier; sister Judith Ann; and brother Edward Junior Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara Knight Arnold; daughter Sherry Killingsworth of Arizona; son Eddy (Lisa) Arnold of Quality; grandsons Michael Killingsworth, Jr. of Arizona and Heston Arnold of Morehead; granddaughters Kristin Arnold (Jon) McGehee of Bremen and Aspen Arnold of Murray; great-grandsons Carter and Colt McGehee of Bremen; sisters Diane (Gary) Fitzsimmone of South Carolina, Tammy (Neal) Nuchols of South Carolina, and Marlene (Tony) Marello of New York; aunt Betty Taylor of Mt. Washington; step-brothers Eugene Van and Buddy Van; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 3, 2019, at 2:00PM at Union Chapel Church, with Bro. Robert Lindsay officiating. assisted by Bro. Curtis McGehee. Burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-8PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home and Sunday from 1-2PM at Union Chapel Church. Masonic services will be held on Saturday at 6:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
