PULASKI, TN – Bro. George “Sonnie” Stevens, 83, of Pulaski, TN, died Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 9:26PM at his home. Mr. Stevens was born July 13, 1935, in Muhlenberg County. He was a minister and boilermaker with Boilermaker Local #40 in Elizabethtown. He was a member of Scott Hill Baptist Church in Pulaski and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mary Gladys Stevens; brother Newman Stevens; and sister Shirley Kathleen Stevens. He is survived by his wife, Mary W. “Beadie” Stevens; brother Gary Neal (Teresa) Stevens of Belton; sisters Mayme Nell Orange of Evansville, Nancy (Henry) Latham of Evansville, Patsy Stevens Edwards of Central City, Marilyn (Benny) McElwain of Penrod, and Theda (Forest) Deason of Central City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, September 17, 2018, at 2:00PM at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, with Rev. Derrick Benton and Forest Deason officiating. Burial in Union Chapel Cemetery.
