GREENVILLE- Gary Lynn Aders, 65, of Greenville died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at 3:35 PM at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Chief Aders was born November 16, 1954 in Muhlenberg County and was a member of the Baptist faith. He loved his children, grandchildren, and serving the community of Greenville for over three decades in various positions of public service. Chief Aders retired as Fire Chief for the city of Greenville in 2004. He is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Bell Hall; brothers, Alvin Wayne Aders and Douglas Eugene Aders. Survivors include his son, Ben (Brooke) Aders of Central City; daughter, Whitney (Josh) Heltsley of Greenville; grandchildren, Harper, Mason, Hudson, Harrison; brothers, Jerry (Diana) Aders, Randy (Patricia) Aders; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Curtis McGehee officiating and Bro. Roger Heltsley assisting. Burial will be in New Cypress cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, March 13, 2020 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the funeral home.
