ROCKPORT- Emily Darlene Monroe, 64, of Rockport died Friday, November 15, 2024, at her residence. Mrs. Monroe was born in Muhlenberg County on February 6, 1960, and was a homemaker and a member of Taylor Mines United Baptist Church. She loved going to church, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Monroe is preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Martha Johnson, sister, Judy Gail Slaughter.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Jay Monroe, sons, Troy E. Smith, Michael Dale (Amber) Smith; daughter, Laura Gail (Tommy Wilhite) Smith; brother, Roger Johnson; grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Anthony Stanley, Raven Brewer, Ronnie Smith, Landon Smith, Amy Smith, Dakota New, Nevah New, Hayden Smith, Harlie Smith, Karlie Smith; seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City with Bro. Winfred Burden and Bro. David Hall officiating. Burial will be in Mud River Union Cemetery in Belton. Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2024, beginning at 9:00AM at the funeral home.
