SACRAMENTO- Elizabeth Ann Gish, 53, was born on December 18, 1966 in Hopkins County. She lived in Sacramento until 2017 when she moved in with her sister, Debbie, in Princeton, IN. Ann passed away November 20, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway in Newburgh, IN. Ann was a special soul that loved life. She never met a stranger and had a smile that was infectious. Ann enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and Elvis, purses, singing, rocking in her chair, getting her hair colored, and being around family and friends. After moving to Princeton IN, she became involved in the Arc of Southwest Indiana (GARC) which was an agency that assisted Ann during the day while Debbie worked. GARC took Ann on field trips to the zoo, weekly crafts, out to eat, dancing, and to the movies. Ann loved her GARC staff and friends. GARC became part of Ann’s family, they took excellent care of her over the past three years. Ann will forever be remebered for her love that she gave to all, her laughter, and joy she gave to so many. Ann is preceded in death by her parents, James B. Gish in 2006, and Elizabeth Allen Gish in 2017, and several aunts and uncles over the years. Ann is survived by her sisters, Trina (Rondall) Lyons; Debbie (Nathan) Bales; nephews, Justin Austin, Wesley Bales, and Jacob Bales; nieces, April Lyons, Maddie Bales; aunt, Carolyn Downey. Funeral services will be private. A celebration of life will be held in Kentucky and Indiana at a later date. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Debbie, my heart breaks for you all as I know how much You loved and cared for Ann!! I know that you know she is pain free and rejoicing, dancing and laughing with our Heavenly Father but it doesn't make it easier right now on those who knew and loved her. I will continue to pray for peace and strength for you all during this difficult time especially this time of year. Love ya girl!! Miss you too and Wish we could see each other more. ❤

Eric and I are so sorry to hear of Ann's passing! She was a character! I will forever crossing the street as a child to go visit Ann; she always loved to make my sister and cousins laugh. Even back then (the 70's, she loved rocking, drinking Pepsi (or was it Coke) and had a perpetual crush on my Uncle Jimmy (Smith). Lol. Thinking of all of y'all now and in the days ahead.

Ann will always have a special place in my heart. I absolutely loved Ann and the joy she brought to my life. You will be missed sweet Ann!

SACRAMENTO – Elizabeth Allen Gish, age 72 of Sacramento died Friday, January 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville, IN. Ms. Gish was born June 2, 1944 in Hopkins County. She was a housekeeper for Regional Medical Center and a member of Sacramento United Methodist Church. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband James B. Gish, parents Alva and Kathyrn Allen, sister Faye Allen, brothers James Allen, George Allen and Bill Allen She is survived by her daughters Katrina (Rondall) Lyons and Ann Gish of Sacramento and Debbie (Nathan) Bales of Princeton, IN; grandchildren Justin Austin, April Lyons, Wesley Bales, Maddie Bales and Jacob Bales; brother Bob Allen of Madisonville and sister Betty Patterson of Maceo. Funeral services will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 12:00 PM at Tucker Memorial Chapel in Sacramento with Bro. J.W. Haire officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2017 after 3 PM at the Funeral Home. Family request expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. To all of Libby's family, I am so sorry. She was always the funny, younger sister of my classmate, Faye.....Neva Faye to be exact. Her hair is beautiful, just like her mother's used to be.
