BELTON – Eldon Woodrow Stanley, 66, of Belton, died Sunday, August 13, 2017. Mr. Stanley was born August 30, 1950, in Muhlenberg County. He was a retired coal miner, and recently retired from Muhlenberg County Road Dept. as a back hoe driver. He was a member of Hazel Creek Missionary Baptist Church, and was previously a member of Mud River Union Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Novella Stanley. He was a loving husband to his wife of 40 years, Diana “Lynn” Stanley; and a wonderful father to his children, Faith Ann Farley and Michael (Erin) Stanley. The joy of his life were his five grandchildren, Jakop Smith, Savannah (Mike) Wells, Elizabeth Smith, Cameron Stanley, and CJ Stanley. The added joy to his life were his three great-grandchildren, Harper Wells, Katelynn Wells, and Ruby Smith. He was blessed with seven sisters, Sue (Marion) Day, Eloise “Lady” (Donald) Cable, Jean (the late Roger) Stratton, Mary (James) Dennis, Alice (Jerry) Hendrix, Nancy (Lyndell) Fox, and Carol (Tommy) Day, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Terry Chaney officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday after 10:30AM at the funeral home.
