Drakesboro – Dawn Marie O’Brien, 55, of Drakesboro, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 11:18a.m. at her residence. Ms. O’Brien was born October 2, 1970, in Chicago, Illinois. She was an waitress for Huddle House, and she was a member of the Abundant Life Church. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria June Pressley, and Wayne Kenneth O’Brien Sr.; her step-father, Tom Pressley; and her brother, Wayne Kenneth O’Brien Jr.

She is survived by her children, Colby (Aaliyah) O’Brien, and Chase Steele; her grandchildren, Karter O’Brien, Kaiden O’Brien, Julaina O’Brien, and Tate Steele Wilson; her brother, Joseph Ray Pressley; her nephew, Joseph Konnor Pressley; and her niece, Emberlyn Sky Pressley.

Memorial services will be Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:00a.m. at Abundant Life Church in Central City, with Bro. Larry Hamby officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday at 10a.m. at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.

I can’t believe you’re gone, Dawn. It seems unreal. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to me and welcoming me with open arms, listening ears & no judgement. I will forever cherish all of our girl time and miss you like crazy but I know you’re resting peacefully, with no more pain or struggles. That’s comforting. May God watch over the family while we figure out how to go on. May God bring comfort to your boys and their babies. I love you, Dawn.
