He was born in Muhlenberg County, was a welder for Joe Leasure and Son, a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of Mercer Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda (Green) Johnson; sons Timothy Wayne Johnson, Danny Ray Johnson Jr. and Jamie Lynn Johnson; stepdaughter Misty Sampson; and two sisters, Ernestine Putman and Mary Geddings. Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Tucker Funeral Home, Central City. Burial: Fairmount Cemetery. Visitation: From 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
