Daisy Lee Gillette, 84, of P.O. Box 24, Livermore, died at 5:31 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2009, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Muhlenberg County. She was a homemaker and member of New Hope Church. Survivors include four sons, Z.L. Gillette Jr., Wayne Gillette and Kenneth Gillette, all of Livermore, and Ricky Gillette of Utica; two daughters, Carolyn Gillette and Patricia Gillette Strong, both of Livermore; grandsons Steven Strong, Z.L. Gillette V, Allan Chambers, Nathan Gillette and Eric Gillette; granddaughters Stacey Humphrey, Dana Dickerson, Michelle Majors, Georgia Baggett, Lelia Gillette, Toni J. Denton, Christina Gillette, Amanda Gillette, Kimberly Shadowen and Rachel Mason; 31 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services are at 1 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Harry Wilson officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ronald Dame. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Livermore.
