SACRAMENTO – Clifford Adkins, age 86, of Sacramento died Friday, December 9, 2016 at Heartford House in Owensboro. Mr. Adkins was born June 13, 1930 in Madisonville. He was the owner of Adkins Electric and Hardware for 41 years and was an electrician and farmer. He was a member of Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Lions Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Rae Adkins; son Jeff Adkins; parents Frank and Mag (Coleman) Adkins; and sister Thelma Dexter. He is survived by his daughter Gail Ellis of Sacramento; sons Freddie (Marilyn) Adkins of Sacramento and David (Connie) Adkins of Philpot; grandchildren Chris Ellis, Heather and Justin Adkins, Ashley Faith, Kasey Adkins, Camron and Cody Adkins, and Dalton Adkins; great-grandchildren Treysen and Carsen Ellis, Laila and Leigha Adkins and Aidan Faith; daughter-in-law Karen Adkins; and sister Mae Lou Lewis of Bremen. Funeral services will be Friday, December 16, 2016, at 11:00AM at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Sacramento with Bro. Steve Delashmit officiating, assisted by Bro. Roy Gene Ellis. Burial will be in Free Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday after 9:00AM at the church. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
