Claude Wilson Reynolds, age 89, of Beechmont, KY, died Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville.  Claude was born February 3, 1935, in Beechmont, KY and was a 1953 graduate of Hughes Kirk High School.   He was very proud of his service to the United States Air Force.  He was a retired Underground Coal Miner at Peabody Coal Company.  Mr. Reynolds was a faithful follower of his Lord and enjoyed serving Mud River Union General Baptist Church as a Sunday School teacher.  Previous to Mud River Union, he served as a deacon at Union Ridge General Baptist Church for several years.  Family and grandchildren defined his happiness.  He enjoyed socializing with his numerous friends, playing bingo and eating all things sweet especially orange sherbet ice cream.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Reynolds, parents, Robert Ware Reynolds and Preva Ethel Reynolds, sisters Louise Woods and Lillian Fleming and brother, Charles Reynolds.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, Roger (Amy) Reynolds of Dunmor and daughter, Robin (Brian) Powell of Cadiz; grandchildren, Laura (Chris) Brooks, John (Katey) Reynolds, Sara Reynolds, Patrick Malone and Lauren Powell; great-grandchildren, Emmett Brooks and Beau Brooks; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Mud River Union General Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Ricky Peterson and Roger Reynolds will officiate the services.  Visitation will be Friday, September 20, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home, 536 Bradford St., Beechmont, KY.  Mr. Reynolds will lie in state at Mud River Union General Baptist Church, Saturday, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.  Online condolences can be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com
