CENTRAL CITY – Charles Milton Gossett, 91, of Central City, died Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 7:37PM at his home. Charles was born November 21, 1929, in South Carrollton. He was a shift supervisor for Kentucky Utilities, retiring after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1946 – 1948. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, and aircrafts. He built a Baby Great Lakes airplane in the 1970’s and loved to help restore planes. He was a private pilot and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He loved animals, his family, and he loved The Lord very much.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Eunice Noffsinger Gossett; son Gary Gossett; grandson Taylor Hayes Rickard; sisters Mae Dean Ashton and June Warren; and brother Curtis Gossett.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Peggy Beck Gossett; children Charles H. Gossett, Kenny Gossett, Jennifer (Jason) Reynolds, and Belinda (Carl) Ashton, all of Sacramento; a very special loving niece, Kimberly (Rick) Coonce of Missouri; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers Bobby (Jeanie) Gossett of Missouri and Joe Gossett of Illinois; sister Elaine Chester of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be Monday, October 18, 2021, at 11:00AM at Shavers Chapel Cemetery in Bremen, with Bishop Kenny McCarraher officiating, assisted by Bishop Donnie Abney.
