Carlos Edgar Vanlandingham BEECH CREEK — Carlos Edgar Vanlandingham, 85, of 877 Beechcreek Browder Road, Beech Creek, died at 8:20 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009, at Regional Medical Center, Madisonville. He was born Feb. 13, 1924, in Muhlenberg County, was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and was a retired coal miner. Survivors include his wife, Jo Dell Smith Vanlandingham of Beech Creek; a daughter, Carla Sue (Ray) Atherton of Beech Creek; a granddaughter, Trina (Carey) Capps of Fulton; a great-granddaughter, Cara Rayleigh Capps of Fulton; and a sister, Nellie Hawes of Evansville. Services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Tucker Beechmont Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Melton officiating. Visitation after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
