GREENVILLE – Billy Kennedy Beasley, 77, of Greenville, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at 9:05PM at Ridgewood Terrace in Madisonville. Mr. Beasley was born January 6, 1942, in Newport, KY. He was a master electrician at Arch of West Virginia, and a member of Second Baptist Church. He first began as a firefighter on October 2, 1959. He served 30 years on the Greenville Volunteer Fire Department, 20 years on the Clifty Volunteer Fire Department, 17 years on the Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, 6 years on the Central City Volunteer Fire Department, and 4 years on the Drakesboro Volunteer Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Ann Jackson Beasley; and parents Robert and Euva Beasley. He is survived by his brother, Milt Dockweiler; and best friend Leamon Kendrick. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 12:00 noon at Second Baptist Church in Greenville, with Rev. Bob Thurman officiating. Burial in Green’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday after 10:00AM at the church. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Second Baptist Church Building Fund. Envelopes will be available at the church.
