GREENVILLE – Betty Carol Wells, 77, of Greenville, died Thursday, February 16, 2017, at her home. Betty was born July 6, 1939, in Muhlenberg County. She retired from Muhlenberg Community Hospital after 40 years of service, where she was the Director of Medical Records. She was also a member of Carter Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Wells; mother Orene Wells; and father Marvin Wells. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Jamie) Spurlock of Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren Carson Spurlock and Kaylee Spurlock, both of Hendersonville, TN; sister Louise Hill of Greenville; sister-in-law Martha (David) Roe of Rochester; brother-in-law Phil (Phyllis) Wells of Belton; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, February 20, 2017, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Donnie Wilkins officiating, assisted by Rev. Tommy Wilhite. Burial in Joines Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-8PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
