Betty Lou Galloway

CENTRAL CITY – Betty Lou Galloway, 85, of Central City, died Monday, September 30, 2024, at 6:45PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Galloway was born October 1, 1938, in Owensboro. She was the retired owner of Family Inn Restaurant, and a member of East Union Baptist Church. During Betty’s youth, she enjoyed cooking and baking, and listening to music. Betty’s hobbies included collecting trinkets. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Smity and Alice Fulkerson; brothers, Eddie Fulkerson and Jerry Fulkerson; and sister, Gracie Bozark.

She is survived by her sons, Terry Peveler and Donnie (Nona) Galloway; grandchildren, Shawn Peveler, Shayla Galloway, Cameron Galloway, and Carter Galloway; several step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved with all her heart.

I believe Betty was once a Peveler. I grew up down the street from Terry. We were good friends. I have fond memories of Betty. If I have the right person I would love to talk to you Terry. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. Sincerely, Kevin Foster
