GREENVILLE – Batsel Stovall, 88, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 11:55PM at Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mr. Stovall was born July 29, 1922 in Muhlenberg County. He was a coal miner and a member of East Union Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Stovall. Survivors include his son, Winslow (Bernice) Stovall of Greenville; granddaughter Stacy (Tom) Beaven of Madisonville; step-grandchildren Jeremy (Candy) Blake of Greenville, Tracy (Scott) Tournear of Hopkinsville, and DeVon Garner of North Carolina; step-great-grandchildren Abigail Blake, Jeremy Blake Jr., Hali Blake, Stephaine Tournear, Trace Tournear, Brooklyn Vaughn, and Blake Beaven. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 9, 2011 at 1:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Ron Wingo officiating. Burial in New Cypress Cemetery.
