Barbara Ann Peveler

August 11, 1940 - March 14, 2020

Barbara Ann Peveler peacefully left this world on March 14th, 2020, at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she entered into the presence of her Savior. We find comfort in knowing that she left feeling loved as much as she dearly loved us. Barbara was born on August 11th, 1940 to Bernard and Ermon McClellan. She graduated from Greenville Highschool in 1958. She was a member of Roland Memorial Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary after her retirement from TVA. She was also an active member of the Warm Heart Quilters Club. Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years Billy Peveler, as well as her parents, Bernard and Ermon McClellan. She is survived by two sons – Scott (LaDonna) Peveler, and Todd (Marilyn) Peveler; three grandsons – Derek (Beth) Peveler, Dustin (Carrie) Peveler, and Alex (Lauren) Peveler; and five great-grandchildren – Kaydie, Landon, Marlie, Rebecca, and Brady. Barbara answered to many names on this side of heaven. She was a beloved daughter, wife, momma, grandmother, GiGi, and friend. Whatever title she answered to, you knew you were special and loved to have the privilege to be cared for by her. We are all going to miss this precious woman, but we are grateful to have been loved by her and to have such wonderful memories of a life well lived. Funeral services will be Thursday March 19, 2020 at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Danny Mooneyhan will be officiating. burial will follow in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Bremen. I am truly sorry for the loss of your mom. Always considered her a friend, as I still do you. I don't feel right about not getting to come to visitation because of C-Virus. Wanted to talk to in person cause I am not good at this I-phone stuff. Don't have ur phone number so call me if u want to, or better yet- come visit. 270-338-1792

Barbara was always so bubbly and busy. I worked with her at TVA, I can still hear her say Scott and LaDonna or Todd and Marilyn then she would share a recent happening. After retirement, I reconnected with Barbara through the Warm Hearts Quilters. Barbara was one extra special individual who I loved very much. I am sorry I won't be able to attend visitation or the funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you. If I can be of service, please contact me.

Scott and Todd my heartfelt sympathy. So many great memories with Barbara grew up with Barbara as my next door neighbor and later after she and Billy were married they were my parents next door neighbors. She will be severely missed by all who knew her.

Ms Barbara was a wonderful loving lady who will be truly missed. I known she's gone home and with those she loved who went before, but I will miss her greatly.

Barbara went with me last year to a couple of quilt shows and several quilt shops. At each place Barbara bought blue fat quarters. It got to be a joke as to what she was going to buy. I will always remember this sweet lady for her blue fat quarters and her ability to put together the pleasing to the eye color combinations. Rest In Peace my friend. Quilt on in heaven.

Was a pleasure to have known Barbara and Billy , vary good people will be missed .
