The Chosen Rose
Today the Master walked through His garden,
Amongst the flowers He had business to attend.
There in the midst He espied a lovely rose.
Its comely fragrance upward to Heaven arose,
But the cheerful petals were beginning to fade,
And more so the longer the rose stayed.
So the Master lovingly cut it from its stem;
Then He took the rose home to bloom with Him.
