Anita Baxter Anderson CENTRAL CITY — Anita Baxter Anderson, 81, of Central City died at 10:45 a.m. Friday, June 26, 2009, at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Greenville. She was born April 18, 1928, in Central City to John F. Baxter and Lorene Garst Baxter. She attended Central City High School and was a member of the class of 1946. She married Virgil Andy Anderson of Central City on Oct. 20, 1951. She was the owner of The Frame Shoppe in Central City until her retirement in 1992. She was previously employed by Bryson Studio as a photo retoucher and wedding photographer and also the Credit Bureau. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Central City for more than 60 years, holding multiple leadership positions over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Virgil Andy Anderson; a brother, Bob Baxter of Nelson Creek; and her parents, John F. and Lorene Baxter. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Mickey (Betty Lew) Anderson of Bardstown, Bart (Marilyn) Anderson of Bowling Green and Scott (Belinda) Anderson of Central City; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Baxter of Lexington Park, Md.; and two sisters, Virginia Cummings of South Carrollton and Marian Werner of Bethlehem, Pa. Services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, with Dr. Kevin Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Central City. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City. Mrs. Anderson will lie in state at the church from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday.
