Greenville – Alvis Joe Langley, age 86 of Greenville died on July 1, 2022, at 6:49AM at his residence. He was born on June 28, 1936, in Muhlenberg County. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Drakesboro. He was a retired electrician for Signode. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed volunteering for Hope to All Food Pantry in Drakesboro. He loved to watch old western movies, riding his tractor and mowing grass, playing solitare on his tablet and especially loved being with his family. Mr. Langley is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Lou Langley, Parents Alvis B. and Mary Langley, Son William Anthony Langley, Daughter Shirl Rene Langley, Brother James Langley and Sherman Langley, and Sister Anabelle Langley.

He was survived by his Sons Joe Dewayne Langley, and James Alvis Langley, Daughter Betty Lou Langley, Grandchildren Ryan Lynn, Monica Renee, Amanda Jo, Jared Charles, Aaron Lewis, and Sarah Elizabeth. Great-grandchild Austin Pettit. Sisters Roberta, Louise and Georgia Faye. Brothers William and Tim. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2022, at 1:00PM at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Drakesboro with Philip Garrett officiating with Bro. Scott Casebier assisting.
