Alma Jean Harper Bowling GREENVILLE — Alma Jean Harper Bowling, 79, of Greenville died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Muhlenberg Community Hospital in Greenville. She was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Muhlenberg County. She retired from GE in Owensboro as an assembly worker after 48 years and was a member of New Cypress Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucy Jarvis, Myrtle Vick and Addie Jarvis; and three brothers, N.A. Harper, Paul Harper and Woodrow Harper. Survivors include six nephews, Gaithel Jarvis, Donald Jarvis, Douglas Jarvis, Danny Jarvis, Edward Jarvis and Milton Jarvis; four nieces, Brenda Green, Gloria Bishop, Ann Loney and Lisa Fortney; and two sisters-in-law, Ima Harper and Joann Harper. Services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with the Rev. Tommy Drury officiating. Burial will be in New Cypress Cemetery.
