Celebrating Over 100 Years of Service

After Care

Things that help us heal.

Whether the death of a loved one is expected or not, we all need some support in dealing with the wide range of emotions we feel when death occurs. We are here to help with an array of resources that are always available to the community:

Grief Library and Resource Center

We offer an extensive collection of books, brochures, videotapes, and other informative resource materials on topics related to death and bereavement as well as referrals to grief support groups, therapists and counseling services and assistance with questions related to funeral preplanning, government benefits, pension plans, and insurance details.

Grief Support Groups

In association with Green River Hospice, we offer a six-week grief support group. For more information about this important free counseling service, call us at 754-1551.

Community Events/Holiday Memorial Program

The holidays can be a sad time for those who have lost a loved one during the year. You might find comfort in attending the Annual Holiday Memorial Service the first Sunday in December at the First Baptist Church in Central City, Kentucky. A Muhlenberg County tradition, family and friends gather on this occasion to remember their loved ones and receive a beautifully engraved Christmas ornament.

During other times of the year, we sponsor memorial services for veterans and other important groups. Visit our Web site often for information about these healing observances.

See our events calendar for upcoming community events, support groups, or special memorial events.
